Percentage for Find Population
Equation on Increase Population
[A] Population after N years :
P = Present PopulationR = Rate Percent (%)
N = Number of Years
[B] Population N years Ago :
P = Present PopulationR = Rate Percent (%)
N = Number of Years
Example : The population of a town is 176400. If it's increased at the rate of 5% per annum. Find it's population after 2 years & what was it's population 2 years ago.
Solution :
Population after 2 years : Here, P = 176400, R = 5%, N = 2 Years.
Population 2 years Ago: Here, P = 176400, R = 5%, N = 2 Years.
Equation on Decrease Population
[A] Population after N years :
P = Present PopulationR = Rate Percent (%)
N = Number of Years
[B] Population N years Ago :
P = Present PopulationR = Rate Percent (%)
N = Number of Years
Example : The value of a machine depreciates at the rate of 10% per annum. If its present value is Rs.81000, What will be its worth after 3 years ? What was the value of the machine 2 years ago?
Solution :
Population after 3 years : Here, P = 81000, R = 10%, N = 3 Years.
Population 2 years Ago : Here, P = 81000, R = 10%, N = 2 Years.
